After outgrowing its existing premises in Ballymena town centre, Wellington Street Presbyterian Church decided to build a new Church and suite of buildings with better car park facilities on a new green field site.
Situated in Sourhill, the complex is divided into three blocks - the main Sanctuary building at upper ground floor level, with a distinctive semi-circular plan form; the Church Halls at lower ground floor level and an administration block linking the two. A curved social space to the perimeter of the Sanctuary links through to the Church Hall foyer from which the suite of staff, administration and meeting rooms can be accessed, as well as, the Sports Hall, Cafe and Games Room.
